Nashville Deck

Added a decorative overhang on the large door from the inspiration of a pergola. Chunky beams created a unique look with lighting fixtures built in. Also, created a new overhang for the front door. This entry covering will preserve the front door from weather as well as keep guests dry as they enter. Finished with custom made 5’ tall corbels. The copper roof and sleek design tie into the front of the home perfectly. On the rear, we added a new Ipe Brazilian hardwood deck with more chunky beams as a covering and mount for radiant heat, ceiling fans, and lighting around the rails. Ipe is a hardwood that is known as Stonewood. It’s so hard, it weathers like stone. This wood will weather and become a beautiful silver in time, while the rest of the deck was painted and sealed for consistent color. The height and location of this deck were the real showstoppers. At 28’ from ground level and the slope of a steep mountain off the rear of the home, it appears as if one could see for miles through Nashville while sipping coffee on a cool, brisk morning.
